Thank you for your interest in career opportunities at NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania. There are three positions available.

Description

We are looking for a dynamic, personable, and problem-solving individual to grow and strengthen our existing NAMI Keystone Affiliates in Pennsylvania and identify opportunities for new Affiliate development by providing consultation, support, and technical assistance. A special emphasis is placed on Affiliates that are aligned as programs of NAMI Keystone PA. This is a 2-year grant-funded position with the opportunity to be fully funded.  This position requires significant travel throughout PA. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work or nonprofit management or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Personal or professional experience in mental health is required. 

  • Experience working with or volunteering with a local NAMI is a plus. 

  • This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and the applicant must be detail-oriented and extremely organized.

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Reporting Structure: The Armstrong County Interviewer reports to the C/FST Team Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibility.

Job Summary: The C/FST Interviewer travels to a variety of behavioral provider sites in Armstrong County to personally interview consumers and families about their satisfactions and dissatisfactions provider services. In addition, a report of the individual interviews is compiled and submitted for review by the providers, the Counties and Carelon.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts satisfaction interviews with consumers and families in community locations.

  • Interviews consumers and families at behavioral provider sites and by phone.
  • Records consumer responses accurately.
  • Problem-solves in the course of interviewing, as needed.
  • Compiles interview information on appropriate forms.

Participates as member of Team.

  • Pick up monthly consents at providers in Armstrong County
  • Attends and participates in monthly CSP meetings
  • Give in-person presentations about the C/FST to providers to encourage consumers/clients to sign a consent to be called to participate in an interview
  • Enters data in databases on an as needed basis.
  • Effective collaboration at Team Meetings and Accountability Meetings.
  • Participation as team member in new employee orientation.
  • Contributes to overall effectiveness of the Indiana/Armstrong Team.

Office Support

  • Provides office support, as needed.
  • Answer phones per weekly schedule.
  • Assists with phone interviews of consumers and family members.
  • Assists with office record keeping.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE

  • High school graduate with one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training as approved by Armstrong/Indiana BD HP Program
  • Consumer or family member of mental health services preferred
  • Demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized and have ability to write legibly and accurately
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • A professional demeanor and an orientation towards customer service is required.
  • Must be able to quickly build rapport and have empathy with consumers and family members.
  • A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, automobile Insurance and good driving record is preferred.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances and FBI Background check are required and must be successfully completed prior to employment
  • Must be available on occasional evenings and weekends as requested by Supervisor
