Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Reporting Structure: The Armstrong County Interviewer reports to the C/FST Team Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibility.

Job Summary: The C/FST Interviewer travels to a variety of behavioral provider sites in Armstrong County to personally interview consumers and families about their satisfactions and dissatisfactions provider services. In addition, a report of the individual interviews is compiled and submitted for review by the providers, the Counties and Carelon.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts satisfaction interviews with consumers and families in community locations.

  • Interviews consumers and families at behavioral provider sites and by phone.
  • Records consumer responses accurately.
  • Problem-solves in the course of interviewing, as needed.
  • Compiles interview information on appropriate forms.

Participates as member of Team.

  • Pick up monthly consents at providers in Armstrong County
  • Attends and participates in monthly CSP meetings
  • Give in-person presentations about the C/FST to providers to encourage consumers/clients to sign a consent to be called to participate in an interview
  • Enters data in databases on an as needed basis.
  • Effective collaboration at Team Meetings and Accountability Meetings.
  • Participation as team member in new employee orientation.
  • Contributes to overall effectiveness of the Indiana/Armstrong Team.

Office Support

  • Provides office support, as needed.
  • Answer phones per weekly schedule.
  • Assists with phone interviews of consumers and family members.
  • Assists with office record keeping.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE

  • High school graduate with one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training as approved by Armstrong/Indiana BD HP Program
  • Consumer or family member of mental health services preferred
  • Demonstrated record of good work attendance and reliability
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized and have ability to write legibly and accurately
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • A professional demeanor and an orientation towards customer service is required.
  • Must be able to quickly build rapport and have empathy with consumers and family members.
  • A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, automobile Insurance and good driving record is preferred.
  • Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances and FBI Background check are required and must be successfully completed prior to employment
  • Must be available on occasional evenings and weekends as requested by Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities 

The Events Assistant is a part-time (15-20 hours per week) position and provides administrative and logistical support to the Communications and Marketing team, handling tasks like venue research, vendor coordination, guest list management, event setup and breakdown, catering orders, marketing materials creation, and overall on-site assistance to ensure a successful event execution, often requiring strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Major events at NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania include but are not limited to NAMIWalks, the Green Light Gala, and education conferences, as well as small-scale events such as symposiums, roundtable discussions, screenings, etc.    

Essential Duties 

  • Create and send creative marketing emails and flyers promoting events  

  • Provide on-site support prior to and on the day of events 

  • Assist with all aspects of planning NAMIWalks including coordinating refreshments, food trucks, entertainment, and other logistics as needed  

  • Assist with registration processes including on-site registration to ensure accurate registration data, name badges, guarantee counts for events 

  • Organize event signage, printouts, and other materials   

  • Create and maintain an Events Timeline for staff  

  • Learn and utilize NAMI Keystone PA software programs including Donor Drive, Canva, Every Action, Typeform, Square, and Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Participate on staff and NAMI event planning calls 

  • Assist with securing new event participants, sponsors, and exhibitors 

  • Book event travel and hotel accommodations for staff and speakers  

  • Research new event locations  

  • Provide follow-up thank you letters after events 

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, communications and marketing, or any other combination of education and experience that meets the skills and abilities of the position. 

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to persuade. 

  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Creative problem-solver. 

  • Strong relationship building and networking skills.

Job Posting 

Job Summary: NAMI Keystone PA is seeking an Education Program and Volunteer Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating NAMI National Signature Programs in Allegheny County and surrounding areas as well as establish a relationship with and help organize volunteers across the county. This position is a unique opportunity for an experienced coordinator to shape and develop NAMI programs in Allegheny County. This is a grant-funded position for one year. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing the operation of programs as outlined in the current National Signature Program Operating Policies. 
  • Networking with potential volunteers to orient them to NAMI and our services. 
  • Work directly with the NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania education team to ensure onboarding of new volunteers. 
  • Managing and supporting Program Leaders, Presenters, and Support Group Facilitators in Allegheny County. 
  • Helping to develop, organize, and coordinate NAMI Programs in Allegheny County. 
  • Maintain program budgets as well as securing grants and sources of funding. 
  • Tracking and reporting data for all programs, including ensuring that they are entered into the National database. 
  • Representing NAMI in the community by attending community meetings and promoting working relationships with other agencies. 
  • Becoming directly trained as a leader and trainer in relevant NAMI Programs to support and understand their structure. 

Qualifications and Expertise: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher with at least one year of related management or coordination work experience. 
  • Lived experience as an individual with a mental health condition or as a primary support of an individual with a mental health condition. 
  • Previous experience with NAMI Programs and/or familiarity with NAMI preferred. 
  • Must be highly organized including the ability to gather, process, and report data on NAMI Programs using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or other similar spreadsheet software. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; must be able to quickly build a rapport with current and prospective local NAMI Program Leaders. 
  • Effective problem-solving skills. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and excellent messaging skills in electronic mailing and messaging. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams or other similar video conferencing software. 
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations across Allegheny County 
  • A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, automobile insurance and good driving record is preferred. 
  • Act 33, Act 34 Clearances, and FBI Background check are required and must be successfully completed prior to employment. 
  • Must be available on occasional evenings and weekends as requested by Supervisor
